Pianist Cian Boylan, guitarist Hugh Buckley and bassist Damian Evans are all names you will by now know in the Irish jazz scene, and recently they have forged the Boylan Buckley Evans trio, a fine example of Irish musicianship.
Having performed on ‘The View’ last year, their gigs have been getting great audiences throughout the country.
Although once the norm in the era of Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole, the drummer-less trio is somewhat of a rarity in jazz these days, but BBE do great justice to the format, and have won many admirers since releasing their album ‘Soulful Days’, late last year.
