What better way to round off this year’s Bray Jazz festival than a late night gig with ‘Spectrum’, Ireland’s leading jazz-rock quartet.
Led by tenor sax player Derek O’Connor, ‘Spectrum’ have a reputation for no-holds barred playing by musicians at the top of their game.
O’Connor has worked with Van Morrison, Paul Brady, and is a member of the popular Camembert Quartet. He finds his perfect foil here in guitar great Jimmy Smyth, a founder member of 70’s rock band The Bogey Boys.
The group is completed by Paul Moore and Tom McDermott, two veterans of Dublin’s best jazz and rock bands of recent times. |
