Bray Jazz Festival marks its 10th birthday
| | | | Bray Jazz served up a dazzling programme of international musical talent - featuring top name jazz and world players from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, and a rich serving of top level home-grown talent when the festival returned for its 10th anniversary in early May.
Close to 40 shows took place at venues throughout the town over the three days of the festival, and attracted thousands of visitors to its main programme and fringe events.

| | | Jazz stars | Established and emerging stars of international jazz featured, and a number of acclaimed award winners were amongst the performers at this year's Bray Jazz Festival.
Three times Grammy Award nominated vibraphonist Stefon Harris and Blackout played Mermaid Arts Centre, while the venue also hosted young Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick, fresh from his remarkable top prize win at this year's prestigious By:Larm Festival in Scandanavia.
Elsewhere there were concerts by the great American guitarist Rez Abbasi, by acclaimed British alto-saxophonist Soweto Kinch, and by BBC World Music Award winners Juldeh Camara and Justin Adams. |
